Firefly Solar Named Official Solar Energy Partner of the Calgary Flames

Multi-year agreement runs through 2026-27 season and includes Energy Meter presenting partnership and Jr Flames youth hockey support

CALGARY, AB FEBRUARY 20, 2026

Firefly Solar has been named the official solar energy partner of the Calgary Flames in a multi-year agreement running through the 2026-27 NHL season.

Under the agreement, Firefly Solar serves as the presenting partner of the Energy Meter during regular-season Calgary Flames home games at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The company's branding appears on-ice at all Flames, Calgary Wranglers (AHL), and Calgary Hitmen (WHL) home games, with additional virtual broadcast overlays during home and away game coverage.

"This partnership is personal for us," said Chris Anderson, co-owner of Firefly Solar. "We are not an outside company buying visibility. We are a local business supporting another local institution."

The partnership extends beyond in-arena visibility to include sponsorship of the Jr Flames Program in collaboration with the Calgary Flames Foundation, which supports youth hockey development across the city. Firefly Solar's logo appears on Jr Flames content distributed across the Flames and Flames Foundation social media channels. Anderson, a longtime competitive-hockey player who continues to coach in Calgary including special-needs programs, helped shape the youth-development component of the agreement.

"A multi-year agreement with a major professional sports organization is one signal of the financial foundation that protects our customers' investments over the 25 to 30 year life of a solar system," said Kyle McCormick, co-owner of Firefly Solar.

The 2025-26 Calgary Flames regular season continues at the Scotiabank Saddledome through April 2026.
